Attacks, Cats And Scratch

So. I'm here skulking about LTT forums, then all of a sudden I hear what sounds like my puppy in serious pain and trouble, I rush out and see a crap-fest. 4 of my 5 of which they are 4 adults and 1 pup (none related) are attacking a little bastard cat that has been taunting and peeving them off for almost a year. Of course as much I hate cats, I don't like watching any animal get hurt, so I go up and try to get the dogs away, I yelled, clapped and neither of those things worked.

 

I then made myself appear even bigger and let out a throat-killing roar, the dogs panicked and jumped away from the cat, now I am a well established moron, so of course my next course of action is to try and pick up the stray n' wild cat. Well he scratched the shit outta my hand, it was bleeding like a waterfall, dark red blood seeping from my hand "webbing" it hurts. A lot. So I still managed with the help of my aunt, to get the dogs far away from the cat, which is not bleeding but bad;y beaten and drooling, shame.

 

This idiot country of mine has no nearby open vets, so best we can do is wrap him up (Or rather toss a blanket on him and run away) and hope he survives till morning so that we may get our neighbors to capture the puss and send to Dr. Katz. The little bastard cat also wasn't meant to be in our yard in the first place and he scratched one of the dogs.

 

also a few seconds ago while typing  this, my nose started bleed, hang on...

 

Okay, now I am back and I have a bit of toilet paper shoved up my nose.

 

As for my hand, it's been washed and bathed. then bathed again in anti-ceptic and then wrapped in anti-bleed-all-over-the-palce-wrapping. So yeah. Quite an eventful night for me. Oh, did I mention my throat hurts as if somebody sanded it on the inside? No? Well my throat hurts like somebody had sanded it on the inside.

I don't have a car, I feel like shit (before the attack) and It's cold and windy and I want to puke. I will go on Monday though; cause I just happen to have an appointment.

Dude do NOT wait until Monday - go to the Emergency Room if there aren't any 24-hour clinics nearby.

 

Scratches from stray cats can carry deadly infections for humans. Monday is 2 days away - you could have severe infection, and/or actual virus by then.

Dude, 3? people have survived rabies without vaccines in recent history. 3. And they were all teenagers iirc (This happened when I was like 7-8) and is so rare you barely see it. Rabies has a 99% mortality rate without vaccine. @dalekphalm Correct me if Im wrong. Gotta love our free healthcare

I can't say the exact mortality rate with Rabies, as I don't know - but I do know the risk is very high.

 

One of my childhood friends got rabies once, but he was treated immediately.

Well I'm back, still bandaged and stuck with a few need taking blood for tests and having things injected into me.

 

I also went to bed and just woke up now actually, hand hurts but otherwise I feel fine. Throat still a bit sore but it is better. Judging how long they rook to get my previous blood test back to me, I won't know right away  but I'll be alright. I mean hey, I just washed and drank water so, you know, good signs.

 

So still alive, not having painful locked limbs, crazed behavior etc.
