I'm going to build a PC for my  friend and these are the parts I have chosen, most of them come from this video and I have changed a couple of parts which I will list and insert an image. He would like an SSD and he would like a GPU aswell but that will go over the price limit, so i'm not sure whether to remove the SSD and include a GPU instead which would be worth it. Will this build be good enough?

I'm also thinking of changing the motherboard to: MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 Motherboard?

What's the system being used for?

I would buy parts from various websites, for example that ssd is £10 cheaper on Amazon.

CPU: i5 4430 PSU: XFX 550w Ram: 8gb Patriot Viper 1600mhz

Motherboard: MSI H87M-G43 Case: Fractal Design Define R4

SSD: 840 Evo 250gb, 512gb MX100 GPU: MSI GTX 980TI Gaming Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo

I would scrap the SSD and get faster RAM, if this is going to be primarily used for gaming.

This if your going to be gaming on an APU getting the maximum speed ram is very important

Browsing, working, watch films, emailing. He wants a fast pc though and he may game in the future

Is he definitely gaming later or is it an actual maybe?

If he's going to do actual gaming, get an 750K and a video card.

What type of games are we talking about here?

The specs you mentioned are excellent for browsing watching videos etc. gaming, not so much. You might want to get the CX430M psu instead to make it easier to work with and it's not much more expensive, same thing with a 1TB HDD.

This could be a great gaming system if he can save up and add a GPU in the future, but as it stands it probably won't be very good for many modern graphically intensive games.

Maybe, I sometimes go round there and decide to play a game

In that case, do you think he can skip the optical drive? http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1PiOa
