I've always preferred the TP-Link Archer C7. It gives you wireless-AC, USB ports for NAS-like abilities, and a sleek look that isn't too flashy.

I'll second the Archer C7 for the Router. It's a great box. I recently picked one up for my Fiancees mother's internet, and it works great.

For the modem itself, I'm partial to Arris/Motorola, myself. Their modems have always been rock solid to me. I also really like the Thomson Modems too. I have the Thomson DCM476 I believe:

https://www.amazon.com/Thomson-DCM476-Cable-Modem/dp/B01AB2DFH6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473439233&sr=8-1&keywords=dcm476+modem

It's a bit older now, but it's rock solid.

Another great modem is the Arris SB6121:

https://www.amazon.com/SURFboard-SB6121-DOCSIS-Retail-Packaging/dp/B004XC6GJ0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1473439124&sr=8-2&keywords=arris+sb6121

There's a newer version out now too, the Arris SB6141:

https://www.amazon.com/ARRIS-SURFboard-SB6141-DOCSIS-Cable/dp/B00AJHDZSI/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1473439290&sr=1-1&keywords=arris%2Bsb6141

The SB6141 appears to be cheaper than the older SB6121 too, which is a nice bonus.

Hey I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions for what modem and router I should get.

I am going to be in a 1200 sq ft apartment with "75mbps" down from Comcast.
