Hey I'm new to pc gaming and I was wondering what a good starter build would be. I would like to stay under $500 and the cheaper the better.

It won't be a problem, it'll still fit in perfectly, just look abit odd. And if he chooses to upgrade and keep the case he won't be limited to just m-atx cases.
