Questions about Bitcoin Mining

How many days do you thing it would take a R9 270X to get 1 bitcoin? Or if I were to buy one of those USB things? (I don't pay for power, but If I could spend like $400 on a USB thing to make $600 a month that would be worth it

If you have the time and patience to set it up and if power isnt something to worry about use amd cards

Suggest not bothering as you will spend more on electric than you will make, thus your hardware would be bettered used to fold at home and help cure cancer and a number of other things.

If you could pay $400 on a usb thing to make $600 a month, the company making the chips in those usb things for something like $10 a pop could just fill a warehouse with usb things and basically have a license to print money.

 

As far as I know, the more a coin is mined, the harder it is to obtain coins, by design the complexity grows exponentially the faster coins are mined. It would probably take you weeks to months to get one bitcoin using a video card, and probably days to weeks to get one bitcoin out of one of those $400 usb things.

 

Other alternative coins could be more lucrative these days.

If you want to make any kind of useful money you need a very powerful ASIC.

And buying those costs tens of thousands of dollars which you would never make back in a hundred years.

 

You're several years late to the bitcoin party, there's no money to be made. Look for other options, like getting a job or something.

You are better off doing that with this thing called the "stock market" which involves things more real than a virtual currency which can get hacked or stolen or crash at any time...

Well instead of wasting money on a mining machine which will lose tons of money, maybe research and learn about investing?
