How do I uninstall CWM?

Go to solution Solved by SteepGnomeKing,

Oh ok , thank you.

But if I wanted to remove it completely, and go back to stock, what would i do?

The only way I know how to get back to stock is to download your stock firmware, go into download mode, get Odin, and restore using a stock firmware. Than that is stock recovery, firmware, and unrooted.

That still shows that you have flashed it but it is all stock. To hide that it has been rooted you need triangle away while it's rooted than you recover back to stock.

Hi guys,

I have a T-Mobile Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919)

How do I remove CWM? Im rooted and flashed some weird version of CWM, and now I want TWRP instead.

Idk if flashing stock rom will work, but i dont wanna have to keep flashing different things just to remove it..

Folding for LTT since April 2016.

You should be able to flash TWRP over CWM if you want.

it's just a recovery menu.

So Im flashing TWRP over CWM? Wont that cause problems since im not fully removing it?

Shouldn't, it's like how you flash the stock recovery with CWM, it will just overwrite the files.

I have flashed over CWM with a Devil Recovery and it seems to work just fine no issues.

Nice. Who needs a warranty anyways. Things hardly ever go wrong.

I don't know what rom you use but this is what I use. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2295673

You would have to find the version for your carrier but that's the rom. PAC rom. Has 3 roms into 1. Paranoid, Aokp, and Cynogen. Allows for a lot of features and customization.

Thats the one I was going to download yesterday, but the dam 10/13 nightly had a broken zip....Downloading 10/14 or 10/15 one today or tomorrow. heard that todays nightly had a problem with active notifications, not too important.

Yea, for my Note2, the 4.3 version is still alpha. Daily updates which is nice. GPS breaks than the next day it works. So not a big deal.

I don't like the kernel though which is why I use that Devil Kernel. I notice a much longer battery life with it.

The best part is changing apps to be a certain dpi. So you can change something that is in mobile mode and looks like crap to tablet mode and fits the screen much nicer.

I believe you can just enter ODIN mode and use "Emergency Firmware Recovery" in Samsung Kies. That is, if you want to touch Kies.

I need more SSDs.
