RGB fans with USB controlled controller

Since i saw (thx @LinusTech) the new Corsair RGB fans, i am in love  with them, but as they released i am know about them a little more, and somewhat i am disappointed.

As far as i know the HD120rgb PWM, individually addressable LEDs. The SP120 RGB is 3pin driven, paralel RGB. Both comes with individual, individual, with controller, three with controller package.

The controller is just a "push a button and that makes something-like. there is no other connection.

But there is the therlmaltake Riing (the new premium) what almost the same as the HD120 in usability, but the controller capable to use an USB interface and its controllable from its software what is a really big point!

My questions are:

Are those compatible with each other in some way (tt anc corsair)?
Is there any chance to get an upgraded controller to the corsair fans, by corsair?

And the main question: Is there any other USB controllable RGB fan family/manufacturer/product line?
