Yeah 550 would be fine. Also, you should take a 2 TB HDD, 1 is too little today, with some games at almost 100 GB.

I run Ark at 1080p 60 fps with an i7 2600, and a 1080. So here just make sure the 1070 is fine, and you're good to go :)

You could save money by buying a Samsung 850 instead of 950 also.

I disagree, my 40 game strong Steam library (as in 40 downloaded out of 150~ games I have) and 3 game strong origin library is only taking up 900GB...oh wait, ignore me (when did my games become so big? Dafuq?)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

I mean, the GTX 1080 runs Ark in epic at 1080p 60fps, with an old i7, so your config should be all good for Ark, but the 1070 is slower than 1080 so I can't be 100% sure, but it's a pretty powerful card still, so I think it's fine. :)

Yes, you will be able to run your game maxed out but seeing that you're pretty new here, would you mind telling us your budget.

Even if you change the Samsung 950 to a 850, and take a 550W instead of a 750W?

I would suggest to go for a 6800K because it is the sweet spot now and is a great value when we consider the addition of two new cores. Apart from that, if you are going for a video editing PC then I would recommend a sleeved cables to make if more nicer  and also go with a modular PSU

Basically, yes... this will work, however... do you intend to play in 4k??? Or use VR? because if not... bump that gpu down to a 1070 because you can use that extra $300 to get a decent 2k monitor... that's what I did, and it still rundown my 4k tv like a bawler

This will run most games maxed with very high FPS. However true that may be nothing is guaranteed in the PC world. Any number of issues can prevent you from getting a solid 60.
