change everything, no offense i mean the core2quad is still capable but if u could upgrade everything but i think mainly just upgrade the gpu if ur on a tight budget and maybe a cheap 10-15$ case,that case is rusty and not so pretty

Motherboard and CPU are quite old, I don't think it's worth upgrading: you would get much better performance with a brand new computer.

Maybe you could keep GPU and PSU and use them to build the new one.

With a $200 budget, u can get a new cpu,motherboard,ram,case and a ssd. You can use the power supply, the hard drive and the GPU.

Since the Q6600 is still fairly capable, I'd just keep it until you can buy a better PC altogether.

Just keep the one you have. No point in upgrading it if it works.

You're limited to 8GB if you're using a 64-bit OS.

May i suggest that you also take everyting out of the case and only leave the metal and go outside with some soap and clean it, cuz all that dust and crud can cause static and its just nasty!
