They are SAS connectors for Dell's EMM (Enclosure Management Module) modules per the documentation I've been able to find.

So im planning to upgrade my storage server for my network in the future and am looking at an Dell powervault MD1000 AMP01. Problem I have is i'm confused about some ports it has on the back:$_57 (1).JPGCan anyone tell me what these are? Some documentation says they are SAS expansion ports for connecting daughter arrays, Some are proprietary fiber to server connections,  some tell me they connect directly to a separate server like a Dell Poweredge 2950 and then to the network via SAS cable? Any clarification would be very helpful. Also bandwidth total would also help. I plan to eventually run fiber thru my full network instead of cat5e/cat6

Quick update. Seems these are SAS 3GB ports not even 6 or 12gb variants... seems like I will need to keep looking for something else since I need more speed to and from then this can give me...

Its sas 3gb x4 so a max of 12gb/s. Its probably more than fast enough for most uses.
