HELP! GPU acceleration for encoding videos.

Hi everyone recently i started editing videos using Sony Vegas and i've seen that rendering them takes a lot of time. I've googled around and managed to understand that Vegas doesn't benefit from Nvidia (Maxwell and Pascal) GPU acceleration for rendering. So i downloaded a separate software for encoding videos called "Media Coder x64" and, using a third party app (Debugmode frame server), I got Sony Vegas files to be encoded in Media Coder which is supposed to benefit from the NVENC GPU acceleration. Everything proceeds smoothly except the fact that rendering time has decreased just a bit (from 1,5 to 1 hour) than if i would have rendered the video using the CPU. Also i saw in GPU-Z that the GPU load is only at 10-15% and on task manager i can clearly see that the CPU is still doing most of the job with a 70-80% usage.

Can anyone explain me if i'm doing anything wrong or can you suggest me different things to do to fully use my GPU to encode videos?

if im not mistaken, video rendering is and likely always will be a heavy CPU loaded task. Recording the content can be done through the GPU rather than CPU, but rendering is purely CPU.

if you have an intel cpu 2000 series or later you can enable quick sync and use that with vegas as it really boosts render time.

rendering will always be done by the CPU. The GPU only renders things such as effects that you have applied to the project.

how do i go about doing this? i have a 2500k and i really wanna boost my render times

It is the same process as this video but just select QS in vegas. or you can follow the other one is you want

Ok, you can also try installing the intel media encoder SDK and that might work.
