gpu + cpu ?

Go to solution Solved by rhyseyness,

@acepro71

Well in that case I'd go for an 8350, with a half decent motherboard (spend about £120 (USD~170)) Should come to just over $420 I think.

Spend the rest on an r9-290x when it comes out.

That'd be my advice anyway :)

This is of course assuming all you need is a processor, motherboard and graphics card

ok my friends want to build a pc

he wants to do video editing , gaming etc

so what should he go for amd or intel?

i heard 8350 is good for video editing is it true ??

what about i5  i know its better for gaming  what about video editing ?

also he needs a good gpu which can handle games on 33 inch of 1080p TV

his budget is about 1000 $

Screen size does not affect performance. The 8350 is good for editing.

What kind of editing is your friend doing? Content being produced and programs being used?

Is a copy of Windows needed? Any peripherals?

Nope, higher resolution results in less frames not screen size.

Since he's using adobe premier an AMD gpu would be advised so you he can take advantage of graphics acceleration features.

Is a motherboard required to fit into that budget?

yes lol

It doesn't matter if the screen is 3" or 3'000'000'000* across. The resolution [720p, 1080p. 1440p, 4k,...] is what counts. The size of the panel only changes the DPI which is irrelevant for the GPU.

Old case? What case specifically?

Anyway, my recommendations if the case is too old to use or something: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1PoHl

This would already max out most games at 1080p.
