Cd/dvd-drive 2016

Hello,

I'm developing a new pre-built consumer pc and I was wondering if I still should include a cd/dvd-drive in 2016/2017. Because those things are nearly extinct.

who are you working for? If Asus, Gigabyte, Razer, Acer, HP and many more, then fix your god damn cooling first.

Most people don't use a DVD drive, but sometimes you meet a person who does, I would maybe say that 10-15% of people still use a DVD drive, depending oh where you look ofc.

No DVD drive leaves room for better cooling or bigger battery

I am the owner of //REMOVED// and don't worry, I already fixed the cooling. Under full load it doesn't get hotter than 50 degrees Celcius. And in the system is an extra, silent, 40mm fan too.

I think I'll leave the cd/dvd-drive behind then. When I asked around in my contact-group pretty much only elder people wanted one anyway.
