considering the Grado SR325i's

prolemur

this might be a stupid question but I can't tell form any pictures I've seen if these are circumaural (over-ear) or superaural (on-ear)

I've never used on ear headphones and I don't think I would like them

thanks so I guess the stock one's are only semi-circumaural and press on the top of your ears making it less comfortable for longer sessions

let the everlong search continue for a pair of headphones :P

Large on ear/small circumarual, depends on the size of your ears really.

i have both and i can say that they are both comfortable, but i think the larger ones are better after longer periods of listening.

I love my grados for their open sound stage but just a preliminary warning that they have a fair bit of clamping pressure at first but after a few months they felt right at home on my head.

Really? I'm curious do you have a large head? I had the sr80i's and never had a problem. I wear a size 8 hat I believe? Never had any discomfort problems.
