Yes you can. Although there is a VERY VERY small chance they won't work together. The reason you buy RAM in a kit is because the manufacturer validates they work together. But I really can't stress enough that RAM modules almost always work together -- it's fairly rare that you have an issue using two sticks that didn't come in a kit of RAM together.

If you get the exact ones it will work

I Myself run 4x2 red hyper x fury's and 4x2 black hyper x fury's

Make sure they are the same voltage and you should be fine, the mhz will declock if one is higher so no need to worry about that much

It's still not guaranteed even if everything matches. The likelihood of incompatibility is incredibly low, but it is still there and it does certainly happen from time to time.

all you really need to do is match the voltage, well thats all I look for and every time It works, friend used averix with crucial, worked

Corsair with  gskill worked.

Maybe I'm a magician and luck is with me, idk

There is a possibility DIMMs won't work together even if you buy the exact same model. Like I said, it's a rare occurrence, but it does happen. Usually you don't even need to match the speeds/voltages of DIMMs to make them work together, but occasionally you get unlucky.

The likelihood is probably like 1-5% tops. Like I said, rare.
