Hello guys while installing my PSU a while ago i've just realised that i put the PSU fan face upside of my NZXT H440 case not the bottom.

Its been running like this for about 6 mounts now, should i turn it down or it doesn't matter a lot, it is more dust protected like that i think....

Regards!

it really doesn;t matter all that much. the only thing is that the PSU is now intaking hot air from your system rather then cold outside air.

I can turn it down, just a bit lazy at the moment to un-plug all the cables then change it and re-plug....

Btw i think its really more protected from dust facing up, hmm

Fan side down: PSU will get cool filtered air

Fan side up: PSU will get hot air but can help exhaust your system's hot air

In that case you should flip your PSU as it might cause negative air pressure and draw dust into the case

You want the fan side down as the fan can't breath in an H440 if the fan is up. Regardless you want the fan down unless absolutely necessary to have it up for the sake of airflow.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

The H440 has the PSU cover so it wouldnt benefit airflow. I had it like that in my S340 and I had a mini heat attack :P

That's what I was saying. If the fan were up it wouldn't be able to really breathe.
