Heck, even a 29" 2560x1080 with 144hz sounds great.

I wonder what refresh rate that 38" is at...

 

Having owned the Samsung 34" ultrawide for a while now, I really wish it was just a little bit bigger. In my mind 38" curved 144hz (+ maybe HDR if I'm really greedy) would be absolutely perfect.

Afaik the Acer model based on the 38" panel has freesync, so it would not surprise me if it's 75 hz or so.

And I just bought the 34UC88, a 60Hz native, 75Hz Freesync monitor. Every time. Every f/*-ing time.

Nothing special.

Though I dislike ultra-wide and curved monitors.

What I want is 4K, 240Hz(on 1080p setting), HDR, OLED monitor. But I know I'll have to wait for that quite a bit.

699$ was the price quote for this one. 599 was the one with google cast support. 

That 38 incher though....

It's worth noting that none of them give out the resolution. So hoping for 1440p 21:9 on the 34UC79G. I may not benefit from Freesync, but I really would like high refresh rate ultrawide that costs below 1000$.
