Help with choosing a Motherboard

Hi there,

I'm currently looking for an atx motherboard which has wifi built in, would also want support for nVidia SLI for future upgradeability.

This is my build so far but really struggling to find a board.

Price preferably below the Asus z170 deluxe, as that is slightly above my price range.

Thanks in advance

you looked at the Z170-A?

Although I would add...I don't know about SLI with a 550W.  90% chance it's fine...but 99% chance of success is still too close of my comfort.  I'd probably go with an EVGA 650G2...Looks about the same price, maybe 5£ more or so...

I'm a bit partial to Asus, but that's not to discredit any others...except MSI's VRMs occasionally...

But he is using a 6600K.

Hmm, for Asus i'd say as long it doesn't break you should be fine. Got my Z170-A in the post.

Yeah, these day's its pretty much emphasized features and a bit of customer service as long as you don't go Biostar or anything like that.

So is my only option the msi z170 tomahawk then if i want 802.11ac Wi-Fi?

I noticed on the product page that it supports amd crossfire but not nvidia SLI,

Will it still support SLI?

also another question, is the increased power supply capacity for the 2nd graphics card?

Asus Maximus VIII Hero Alpha offers 802.11ac, and it is GBP188 on amazon. I'm not sure about how much they tax in the UK.
