Hyper212X,TPC812 or NHD14?

Go to solution Solved by MoYo,

Go for a 7950 and the 212 evo. You will love the 7950 and it is much cheaper to upgrade from a 212 to a nhd14 than from a 7870 to a better card.

The 212 is 50$,812 96$ and D14 129$.

Might overclock on a 4820K.Which is most bang for buck in this situation and can also overclock fairly well on a 4820K?

Thanks.

*Sorry i am in a rush right now so no time for further details...*

NH-D14 delivers the best performence out of those 3, and would be best for Overclocking and Silence

agreed! Just make sure the NH-D14 is compatible for your build, so if you have tall RAM.

However getting it will only leave me with a 7790 in my budget. For the 812,i can get a 7870(not XT),and for the 212,i can go with a 7950.which should I go then?Willing to make some compromise here.

Personally i would go for the 7870 , that way you get a mid ranged cooler out of the 3 , and you get a pretty decent Graphics card :D

This^. The 212 is a good cooler, before I switched back to water cooling I was using one on my 3570k, I had a stable overclock of 4.4 GHz. You can also upgrade the fans on the 212 (any 120 mm fans will fit) so if in a few months you have some money you could buy a pair of Nocuta NF-F12 fans or Corsair SP120 quiet editions.

Before buying 2 high end fans, for a lower end cooler, with less capacity, i would jsut upgrade to a better cooler.. NH-D14 / Thermalright Sivlerarrow Exteme / Be Quiet Dark/Shadow Rock series
