Is ultrawide worth it?

hi guys i was thinking of getting ultrawide monitor after some research ...4k is too much on the graphics and ultra wide is looking more affordable and better..people saying its reaaly good and plus it cna run good with a 1070..what do u guys say..is it worth it?gaming and entertainment purposes..

 

dell and lg are offering affordable good ultrawides 34 like 700-500 dollars ??

plz also recommend some monitors which u have personally used.

Using triple monitors I can tell you that once you get more real estate, you will NOT go back. You'll play on the ultrawide for a few years and will need to upgrade, so you make a thread here on LTT. People will recommend 16:9 monitors to you, you'll scoff as if they said "Get the Dell E773C!".

 

I would say go for it and give us your thoughts after a month, 3 months, 1 year... My next upgrade will probably (hopefully if LG makes it) be an ultrawide with two 16:9 sides monitors.

 

You may have to get used to using borderless fullscreen for the games that don't fully support 21:9 but it isn't difficult and the community can help you out.

ppl say 34 is best for ultrawide so 34 it is and frame 60

also budget around 600 dollar to 700 if 100 dollars are worth it...

My wife uses the Dell U3415. Only issue for you (maybe) is that it's curved. She likes to play RPG's and does work with graphic design. Excellent calibration since it's marketed for professionals and has USB ports for flash drives, KB/M, etc.
