I am planning to buy the $1,399 variant of the Dell XPS 15 9950. It has a Core i7 processor and a 256GB PCIe SSD.

According to the website, this model only has a 56 WHr battery compared to other models with SSD having a 84 WHr battery.

So, is the Dell website displaying wrong information ? I'm asking this because Dell online configurators have mistakes as Linus said in his review of the XPS 15.

If it has a hdd, then it has a small battery, if it doesn't have a hdd, then big battery.

No, the only ones with the large battery are the $1700+ versions.

Just purchased this version of the XPS 15 9550. Has the smaller 3-cell battery, but it does have an empty drive cage installed. So, adding an additional HDD or SSD is as easy as ordering this cable on eBay (doesn't come with the system).

How's the battery performance of the laptop ?

And how's the overall performance of it ?
