Hello guys,

So this is/will be my first build and I am queuing up the items to order but would like to hear out your opinions over some of them.

So, my current idea is :

GTX 1080 ASUS STRIX

Gskill Ripjaws V DDR4-2133MHz 2x16GB

NZXT H440 New Edition Black/Red

PSU Seasonic M12II Evo Edition 750W
Cooler CPU Cooler Master Hyper 212X
Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz 6MB Sk1151

Motherboard MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING 3X ( this offers a mouse, not that important but better than nothing)

Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM006 2TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s

I also have an SSD but I do not know the brand by heart, I am using it on my laptop. 128GB

Other possibilities I considered regarding mobo´s :

MSI MPower Titanium ( offers 16 gb of ram DDR4 )

Motherboard Asus Z170-A

Motherboard Asus Z170-PRO

Asus SABERTOOTH Z170 S

Any suggestions on what to change, is it good as it is ?

I read tons of reviews regarding every component I chose but this may not be as good as it can be by now.

If you can tell me some components in the same price range (obviously this varies from place to place, I am in Europe btw) I would really appreciate it.

This is obviously a gaming rig. I want to keep SLI as an option for the future. Hope you guys can help !

If you get the 6600k then i assume you plan to overclock the cpu, if you do not intend to overclock your cpu, get the 6600 instead.

And what storage will you be using?
Other that I dont see any problems.

Desktop: i7-6700K / Asus Z170 S / H100i V2 / LPX 2400Mhz 16GB / 960 EVO 250GB / 2x 860 EVO 500GB / RM750i  / NZXT H440 XB271H + Z22n Monitors

Laptop: Thinkpad T450s / i7-5600U / 12GB / 860 EVO 500GB

I would drop the extra 16 gigs of ram or go for the mobo that comes with the ram and you also need one of them drives, would recommend an ssd

Agree, you don't need 32gigs of ram unless you do video editing etc. 16gigs is enough for most games

This board with 32GB goes for almost the same price as the one that offers 16. So there is no difference between motherboards itself that justifies the choice ? I can drop 16GB by themselves and save on that.

the i5 will bottleneck the 1080 in some games.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

So I have heard, but I guess it wont be a major issue. I grabbed one for 160 Euros which was great as they are sold for 250 here.

well it might be, depending on what games you play and what res you play at
