Arctic freezer Pro 7 (Non rev.2) 130w?

pyr0

Hello.

I am doing up an old dell into a gaming PC. I need to replace the cooler, and after prying off the backplate, I found it uses a standard LGA 775 mount. I found an Arctic Freezer Pro7 for £12, and am wondering whether it can handle a 130w Core 2 Extreme QX6800. Also, the motherboard is an OEM version of the Foxconn G33M02. Will the Motherboard support it? http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Foxconn/G33M.html seems to think so but I wanted to check.

By the way, I know the QX6850 is marginally faster, but for some reason it is double the price, despite being half the price of a QX6800 on launch. The used market is a weird, weird place.

Thanks in advance

i reckon it will be fine. it handled my old Q8300 fine but it has a lower TDP but you should be fine.
