I haven't read into Fender IEM's, but if they're tuned for the frequencies of Guitar, then general use wont work well with them, as the frequencies will be all over the place. If you want general use IEM's, companies like Ultimate Ears, 1964 etc sell some general use IEM's

What market are they targeting. Are they going the Marshall route with consumer electronics or are they marketed as IEMs?

If it's IEMs I might have to try out a pair.

They're marketed as IEMs towards guitarists it seems.

I personally, am not interested; they don't appear to fit my needs really at all, or my instrument type. My in ears are solid enough when I'm practicing on the electric piano and don't want to wake anyone.

I might have to try them out then. Although, it will depend on the price.

If they're $500 or above that's a really steep price for a non-custome fitted IEM.

Also, you would usually use IEM for stage show, where it's important not to be distracted by other sounds and they usually double as hearing protection.

So it's not so much about keeping sounds in; it's about keeping sounds out.

Was just saying the only time I use in ears or iems when playing, is just when im practicing, hence, why they don't make sense for me.

Other than personal use-cases, the only thing that concerns me about these, are the constant features they push, without any explanation of what that feature is. Shit like "Groove-tune" or sentences like this describing the product

Articulate performance, luxurious comfort and precision clarity dance in perfect harmony in these in-ear monitors.

Kind of makes me worry. Instead of talking about performance, or statistics, or why you should consider this product, they use artsy bullshit. Makes it seem like they don't really have any reasons why its better than competition, or worth the price. Much like how a politician will dance around answering a hard question by asking another question, then answering the question that they posed instead.

Yeah, I just went to Fender's page. Seems like every other manufacture of audio equipment., which is to say that it doesn't say anything about the actual specs of the product.

It also seems like they are aiming at the general consumer market. So I guess we'll have to see if they will be as mediocre as Marshall's consumer electronics.

The DXA1 seems like a direct competitor to the Shure SE215s, which is probably a smart market to enter.

It will be intersting to have a more or less direct comparison between a BA earphone and a dynamic driver headphone in the same pricerange and form factor.

I will say that the FXA7 seems a bit to overpriced, but the reviews will tell, I guess.

It just seems weird that they won't include foam or flanged eartips at a price of €400.

HBAD earphones have also been extremely hit 'n' miss in the past, so they will be intersting.

I really hope that they have good treble and good mids, I just want them to be fairly flat. I find the SE215 very meh, not my cup of tea.
