fan compatability?

that's the answer i was looking for.because of money shortage ill use stock fans for push and exsisting fans as pull.unless i can get some cheap ones that are as closely matched to corsair ones.

.

And to answer the Edit part of your question, get the H100i. It will have a wider range of compatible cases and say, if you want to switch to a different case in the future. Chances are it will work on that case as well.

Hi all,

Im thinking of getting a H100i or H110.

They come with 2 fans standard.

My question is - If i get 2 more fans, do they need to be identical (pressure/rpm), or can i use some i already own?

many thanks in advance.

(edit)- is there much performance difference between the h100i and h110?

@iansaggers

Use whatever fans you want. Just make sure they have adequate static pressure. around 1.5 mmH2O at least. The ones on the H100i are bare bone versions of the Corsair SP120mm PWM. They are very good but also loud. The fans on the 110 aren't too great. It's easier to find pressure optimized 120mm fans than 140mm fans, so I'd go the h100i route. Noctua has got you covered for both options though.

who cares...

Any 120mm fans will work but for best performance your looking at getting something with a high static pressure, such as: corsair sp120's, noctua's, Silverstones AP121's, noiseblocker eloops etc

If you are planning to do push pull you should put your higher airflow fans on push and let the lower airflow fans pull.
