  1. hello, so ive clocked my cpu @ 3927 got fsb @ 206 volts are cpu=1.44, nb @ 1.23 i think im roughly there although im not sure i needed to up fsb but ive read some where my nb needed to be just over 2400mhz.thats why i added 06 to fsb. tests come out ok but my nova bench scores go down 50 points or so from when i had my 965 be @ 3.7ghz. im on a sabertooth using corsair hx850i psu and corsair h100i cooling. any ideas? or is nova bench not a good enough estimate of performance? cheers
  2. i didnt use auto volts.i used 1.476 and left most other settings on auto
  3. hi all, so im trying to overclock my 965be. ive got it to 3.9 (for now). im keeping everythjing to auto for now as im not familiar with the bios settings yet. the only thing ive changed is the memory setting to manual as it sets my 1600 ram to 1333. and ive got the cpu voltage set to negative offset so it doesnt go above 1.476v. ive kept c1e and cool n quiet enabled as i want the cpu to throttle down. im on 1.476v and 46 degrees when running prime95 for over an hour. any help and suggestions appreciated.i know there are alot of guides for this cpu but ive not found one for the sabertooth yet. also i hope ive posted in the right forum. lastly my specs. 965be sabertooth r2.0 8gb corsair 1600 ram r9 270x corsair h100i corsair hx850i and zalman ms800+ case
  4. so does the memory clock not matter too much? i know the 980 is the better from what ive heard. also i though the higher the bus the better.
  5. well a gigabyte r9 290x 4gb (which where im looking) has 512 bus but 5000mhz memory clock. And a 4gb gigabyte gtx 980 g1 gaming which says 256 bus but 7010mhz memory clock!
  6. hello, ok so im confused slightly about the specs of some cards. do i go for bus bandwidth or memory speed or gpu clocks? ive seen a card with 4gb ram @ 7000mhz with a 256 bus and another with 4gb but its @ 5000mhz BUT bus is 512 on it. is this the better coice even though it has lower memory clock? my r9 270x has 5600mhz and 256 bus i think. gpu clocks dont differ much on the cards ive been looking at so i dont think its a main factor? cheers
  7. hi, i have a gigabyte r9 270x oc 2gb, i have the opertunity to get a cheap gigabyte r9 270x oc but the 4gb version. basically, can i crossfire these with no probs? i think i can but second card will only use 2gb of the 4 but just checking with you lot. cheers
  8. yes i did mean 1 or 2 sorry. not really worth it then? i forgot to mention im getting new mother board also. my friend says if i keep the same drive just install new hardware then do a repair from a disc image back up after i boot from adding ew hardware.
  9. hi all, im getting a 2 new ssd'd. i want to make a raid (which is best for os-raid 1 or raid 2?), ive been told to make a disc image then install from that to new hdd's the do a repair. i want to keep all my settings like desktop and save files which is why i didnt want to da a clean install and also as im using 3 other driver for different work. all i have on C drive is windows and saves and important docs. hope i havnt missed out anything. cheers in advance
