Hi,

I am building my brother a PC at Christmas and instead of buying a new GPU I thought it better to sell him my 390 and get a new one myself. I am looking at the 1070 which is about £430 in the UK ($566), which is pretty overpriced really. I would wait for the 490 to arrive but I have to buy for christmas, so, any advice?

Thanks.

Hmm.. My advice would be to pay £380 rather than £430.

What resolution do you want to play at? Don't bother buying it for 1080p unless you have a 144Hz monitor, 1060 would do fine otherwise. 1440p or higher 1070 is better. You could try to get it shipped from the US on Newegg or Amazon, or just wait a few weeks for the price to go down more.
