$40 for an ATI 6770

Wreckingball

So I'm buying an ASUS aftermarket 6770 for $40 USD, is it worth the value (the cheapest 660ti's and 750ti's online are selling for $80+ nearby)

EDIT: this is also the first GPU im buying for my upgrade from integrated graphics (intel GMA X4500 aka cant even run league above 20 fps at 1080p)

A 5850/5870/6950/6970, any of these will destroy the 5770/6770 series, the 7770 GPU is better by a decent margin in comparison to 57/67 series, but price goes up again.

If you can find one of those listed above for $50 or less, grab one for decent enough Medium quality (Maybe High on some titles) 1080p gaming.

Also there would be the Nvidia alternatives..

560Ti/570/660/660Ti

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I live in southern california, people think their 6950's are still high end and want ~100+ for them.

Yeah, it sucks, people selling think that cos it has 1400+ shader processors, it can be a $100 card still.

While not as efficient, by far.

You aren't looking in the right places. A 950 goes for about that price on reddits hardwareswap

Ill definatly have to look there later on, just trying to buy really cheap until i have a steady income flow, high school makes pc parts seem a lot more expensive ;)

I have a 6870 that I got for 40 bucks.  I almost solely play WoW and I have to keep it below setting 4 for 1080p to have semi reasonable framerates.

There's something cool here - you just can't see it.

What do you define as semi reasonable? Playng LoL on integrated graphics has gotten me able to handle 25 fps :( and thats while at medium low settings at a reduced resolution of 1080×920

Ive got a 7870 LE (which is essentially a 7950 with certain things disabled), the fan has had a couple fins break off (open air case and had a moth suicide dive into the gpu).

Never used, you can have it for $65 AUD if you pay for shipping? I live in Tasmania, Australia so im not too sure how much shipping is

Scrapyard Build Total Cost: $268AUD

C2Q E8200 | 4 x 1gb DDR2 | GA-EP45-DS3 r1 | Gammax 200 | 320gb 2.5" | 7870LE PCS | Litepower 500w | CISCO Aironet 350

Thanks for the offer! But i think shipping would be more than the card is worth :( its a long way to ship.
