Hello, Tech Tipsers

So. Im trying to get into some sort of gameplay recording and In order to get the highest quality (1440p 60fps) recording I  need a more beefy CPU. I have the money for a 6900k/5960x and an X99 board. So I could buy that or build a new not that overkill pc that runs an elgato? Which one should I choose

more beefy cpu. that'll help in rendering, decoding, streaming and recording your gameplay.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

I fail to see how a 6700k and a 1070 fail at 1440p streaming !

I use an FX-8320 and a 970 and stream at 1440 on twitch and record at downsampled 1080.

Now I can't do both at once and still game effectively, but gaming and one of those is flawless.

If you can't stream nicely with a 6700k and 1070 (if thats what you have), then something else could be an issue.

imho

FX-8320 @3.79 - Corsair H80i - Gigabyte GTX 970 WF - Asus Sabertooth - EVGA Supernova 650 P2 80+ Platinum - Thermaltake Commander Black

I think you may benefit more from using a 2nd PC for the recording and streaming if you do have a 6700K and 1070.
