Just picked up my gtx 1060 gaming X from msi, everything seems to be working like a charm except two things are worrying me and I'm unsure whether my worry is justified. First of all, in MSI afterburner next to the base and boost symbols next to the core clock there is a white and red triangle ,what does that mean? And second of all when running uniengine valley I found that the memory stays at a constant 4004 Mhz when it's stated on the box and online that it's clocked at 8100Mhz. Is everything ok with it? Thanks in advance! (side note valley benchmark was run in 1680 x 1050 as that is the screen I'm using)

The memory thing is due to the memory being DDR or double data rate the actual speed you have is 8008 don't know about the triangle though

Huh that's still off by 92.......shrug don't know what to say about that tbh

the uniengine problem is probably due to the fact that it is ddr memory so you have to double the clock speed. Gpu-z should display it correctly with the advertised 8100mhz

GPUz displays that my gpu clock is 1569 and memory clock is 2002Mhz so I have no idea anymore. Afterburner shows that my max memory clock was 4007

It's just dividing by 4 for some reason as I said your speed is 8008 which is still off by 100ish, as for your core clock that also seems off so it's still off on both fronts as for the triangle I can only assume it's a warning so maybe your card is slightly deffective????

Did you already fiddle with afterburner?

Dual channel memory so 4004 * 2 ;) Jayz2cents mentioned it in his OC video. Go check it out.

Change any of the settings regarding the card (for instance the card has different modes standard, OC and Gaming assuming it's like the 1070)

I was supposed to check out that video, thanks a bunch. Overclocking won't void the warranty will it?

No, MSI couldn't care less so long as you don't mod the card and even then they are flexible
