OC deponds on Mobo?

Since I'm always curious and cant find answers on my own I need ur help.

Do mobos have some sort of "thing" in them that allows overclocking?

(I'm planning to OC my Athlon X4 750k)

its how well they can handle heat and their power phase, OC = more heat

Sometimes it depends. Intel ones, it depends on the chipset on the board. AMD, not that I know of. Also, some are better than others for it. A lot has to do with the voltage regulation modules (VRM), power phases, and the heatsinks it may have on those VRM's.
