Need suggestion for upgrade

Hi, I'm looking into and upgrade for my friends system, he currently has an amd a6-7400k and a gtx 670. We have found that the a6 isn't performing how we had hoped and is bottlenecking the 670 in a major way, so I would just like to have some suggestions for an upgrade. His max budget is £85-ish and lower would be very much welcome, the Games he is wanting to play include basic ones like CS:GO or Chivalry to more demanding ones like Rust, Ark survival and Subnautica at around 45+ fps decent settings, all help is welcome, thanks, Seb.

Athlon 860k. There's a new one that I can't remember the number of. Look into buying your CPU from CEX, they are fairly priced (Although used) and give a 2 year warranty.

EDIT: And 85£ won't run rust or ark happily...

He can either save up to upgarde to a new platform altogether later or get a Athlon X4 880K now.

Yep. I have a friend with an i7 and a 970, who struggles with mid settings...

My athlon 860k runs rust at 60fps ultra settings

But not ARK, it's the GPU as well.

And that takes a very high end GPU and a very good CPU. Not trying to kick off an Intel Vs AMD debate, but AMD have very little at the moment that could happily run ARK.

I have the 860k and r9 380 4gb and I always get 30-92fps avg about 45-50
