A question about ohms

So i am a very inexperienced headphone buyer and wanted to pick up some beyerdynamic 770. After wtching the most recent video i had a questikn about the three difrent ohm model. So my question is if i buy a higher ohm model and i use that on one of my mobile devices will it offer the same sound quality as the 32 ohm model or will it be lesser. Also will the higher ohm model affect battery life of mobile devices. If my question is too complicated plese feel free to hit me up with clarification.

You can edit the post and correct it. In terms of audio knowledge, check out TekSyndicate on youtube and search for audio on his channel. He has done heaps of videos about headphones and their requirements and what not.

If it is too high of ohms the phone won't be able to output audio. Higher ohms on a phone tend to mean you turn it up louder to get the same decibels as a lower ohm pair but they sound much better. It might effect battery minimally

You will be okay. While the DT770 comes in 32, 80, and 250 ohms, they are all relatively high sensitivity. My iPhone 5c pushes my DT770-250ohm to uncomfortable levels. Although an amp at your desk might be "nice." I love my Micca OriGen.

Careful. Statements like this don't make sense. Amps do not "power" an amount of ohms. Further, these kinds of ratings by manufacturers are rarely useful. I've run nominal 600 ohm headphones (peaking at 1000 ohms) from the original E10 with no ill effects.

 

Voltage sensitivity should be the primary spec of interest, considered in combination with load impedance and amplifier output power into a load of that impedance.

I think you got something wrong here.

1. the 250ohm version is not much harder to drive than the 80 ohm version

2. You don't need a DAC, just because you need a amp

3. Most decent motherboards can run the 250 ohm version of the DT770

4. Some phones can also run the 250 ohm version

5. Just stick with 80 ohm version, to be 100% sure
