Corsair ML 140 & Grid + V2

Tyranade

Is it okay to use the Corsair ML 140 fans with DC control because I have heard it is better for the fans to use PWM and I use the NZXT Grid + V2 fan controller which offers 3 pin voltage control.

If not is there any software out there that allows me to not use the default Gigabyte Software because it is horrendous? I have tried SpeedFan but it doesn't detect any fan controllers on my motherboard.

It's fine but you should be using pwm if possible.

Keep in mind that the LED will dim if you run lower speeds with DC.

Yes you can control PWM based fans with DC voltage control but usually it won't allow you to turn the RPM down as low as on PWM.
