Hello guys! I'm new here, and have recently started to get into building and reassembling computers. I've only messed with oem builds to help the local average user, but really would like to upgrade from my own OEM 4gb of ram POS that can't get over 40fps in 800X600X75. If anyone has some reasonably priced and put together pieces so I can start with, I'll gladly pay and would like to start being more apart of the community to return any favors that come my way. Thanks guys cheers!

Hey! Welcome to the LTT forum :)

Do you mean you want to purchase an entirely new PC or upgrade your current pre built one? Do you have a budget in mind?

Thanks for the response guys! I have an Acer aspire X

AXC-603g-UW14

I know just about my only option is upgrading the ram and that's about it since its OEM and has integrated graphics. BUT I'm just trying to get compatible or used parts that fit the bill of a 32gb ram 1080p 60fps rig. No case or anything. And I was basing my build around an MSI 970 mobo. MSI 960 graphics card. Corsair vengeance ram. EvGA?(SC) 500 watt power supply cooler master evo heatsink with 120mm fan. 500gb+ HDD and a small SSD for booting. I know there is more details and this is vague but it's my start. So any thing along those lines I don't have to buy brand new but are trustworthy get the job done parts I'm totally for negotiating and learning. Thanks for the help fellas and the respect. Good forum here.

Go to the new builds and planning section and post this. People with lots of time on their hands will then cook you up a parts list.

idk why you're going for 32GB of ram, 8GB is fine and 16GB is moderately excessive.

Yeah but 8 gig's is hard to stream and run broadcasting with game plus high graphics, 8 is going to be straining. 16 is minimum for what I'll need, 32 is overkill but it's gradual upgrade I wanna be at since I'll have a quad core, so might as well have a little fun xD

What I'm essentially saying is that by getting a 16GB kit (maybe 2x8GB), you can invest in something like a better graphics card which will deliver you better performance than the extra ram. If in the future you find that you genuinely need the ram, by getting a 2x8GB kit you leave space for the upgrade.

I understand now after a while later I'm slowly growing in knowledge of this stuff. I came across a free firepro V5800 AMD 3d graphics card. I know it's more auto CAD friendly but since it was free I'm saving a good bit of $$$ and I think it's good enough to run what I stated earlier streaming, gaming, editing etc.. it won't be top shelf style BUt I'd be able to actually play in high graphics for a change I'm hoping with this card a 2X8gb DDR3 ram kit on a ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 USB 3.0 HDMI uATX AMD Motherboard and a AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition Deneb Quad-Core 3.5 GHz Socket AM3 125W CPU. Is this at all a plausible build??
