I would reccomend this the GTX 1070. It will allow you to play new games and AAA titles at Ultra at 1080p for over 60fps

The resolution of your monitor. Go to Control Panel > Display > Screen Resolution and find the two numbers (eg. 1920x1080, 2560x1440, 3840x2160, etc.)

Benchmark Results: 3DMark Firestrike: 10,528 | SteamVR VR Ready (avg. quality 7.1) | VRMark 7,004 (VR Ready)

Other systems I've built:

Have a look at the NVIDIA GTX 1070. If that's too expensive try the GTX 1060.

For 1920x1080 monitor, GTX 1060 will deliver you 60fps for all games.

But you said 600$, so GTX 1070 should be in that price range. In EU we can buy those for 460€, so if you are from US, you should be able to get it for under 500$.

Intel i7 12700K | Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X DDR4 | Pure Loop 240mm | G.Skill 3200MHz 32GB CL14 | CM V850 G2 | RTX 3070 Phoenix | Lian Li O11 Air mini

Samsung EVO 960 M.2 250GB | Samsung EVO 860 PRO 512GB | 4x Be Quiet! Silent Wings 140mm fans

If not, just get GTX 1060.
