So I fell in love with custom watercooling, it's preety :3 The thing is if I get custom watercooling it will surpass my budget. So I was thinking of getting either of these 4 AIO coolers and in 1.5-2 years get custom watercooling. Should I do that or just go for air cooling for 2 years? The AIO I was looking at are corsair h80i, h100i and NZXT's kraken x60 and x40. Seeing somme benchmarks, the dual rad coolers vs single rad had maybe 7-9 degrees difference, which doesen't really bothers me.

Get Air Cooling. They practically preform the same as any AIO

If you got the space for it, NH-D14 is still my go-to.

Always go a 240mm AIO if you can fit it in.

Also have a look at something like a H220, If your interested in a custom loop but cant manage it right now then you can settle on a H220 now and then expand the loop at a later date :)

Well I only plan to cool my CPU really, so I wouldn't really ''expand'' the loop.

AIO cooler

Even with your disclaimer this is such a non sequitur.

Just go for mid/high end air.

You already have a dark rock pro 2? An AIO would be a downgrade IMO

No I don't have a dark rock pro 2, I have nothing at the moment :3 All this time I'm build planning, he he.

Go air anyway, AIO is the sucks. (perhaps that's a bit extreme, but I like air better so you should too)

I would just get an AIO, custom loops aren't worth the price if you are just cooling the CPU.

Yeah heard it's more for the looks :P

For the AIO, I would gladly go with the kraken but the thing that bothers me is only a 2 year warranty.

Save up and get watercooling later--no point skimping out if you're paying just for looks.

One thing to give you an opinion on, about the larger air coolers......(Noctua/Silver Arrows of the world.)  They can be a eye soar in a windowed case. If that matters to you, and or pertains to you.

They take up a lot of space, and can stand out like a soar thumb. And if you are thinking of doing a custom loop in the future anyway........The H100i is a good place to start.

Yeah main cons of a air cooler IMO. I'm probably gonna get a NZXT Kraken x40 or x60, depending on the performance gap between those 2. Also learned they pay 2 way ship and they have RMA locations in Canada, which is awesome.
