Corsair CX Series CX450M - Good or Not?

BigDay

Building a modest PC with an i3-6100 and no GPU. Is the Corsair CX450M a good choice or no?

Thanks

It's a solid power supply even if you ever wanted to put in a GPU. It's a custom design from CWT and it's a major overhaul from the old, green ones which got a bad rep thanks to the internet's endless circlejerking.

'Fanboyism is stupid' - someone on this forum.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

yes, its a decent midrange unit. the cx with the grey labels are tier 3, while the old cx greens are tier 4/5, so make sure its the right one

As long as it's a gray CXM and not a green CX, you're good.

Honestly, for what you're describing, even a green CX is fine.

Yes, it's actually probably fine to get a CX430M if that suits your budget more.
