Photo Recovery Software

JLCitadel

I deleted a couple of photos from my iPhone 6+ a little while back (about four months ago). Is there any free software I can use to recover the photos? Ive found one that claims to work, however it seems a bit sketchy and requires me to buy it first. Reviews I've looked at show it works but I'm not spending the $49 that it costs to do it. It's called PhoneRescue.

File recovery from any Apple product has always been rather hit and miss, and that's putting it nicely.

I'm assuming that you a) deleted them 4 months ago not took them 4 months ago, and b) have used the phone since then.  More than likely these file locations have been overwritten but you may get lucky.

Just manage your expectations before investing in any product.

Thanks, I'll try to find a torrent of the program. Then if it works I'll buy it.

4 months? The photos are probably overwritten and even if you manage to recover it, it is probably in unrecognizable condition

Recovery is a pain in the ass, let alone doing it from a phone that is constantly writing and rewriting data. Good luck. If you have your phone jailbroken, mount it as a drive (there's software in cydia for this) and try things like recuva and photorec.
