Depends on what applications/games you use.

GTX 1060 is better right now. Going forward the RX 480 will close the gap as more and more games get good DX12 support. it will even be ahead in some games (although it will still be pretty close to the 1060).

 

Basically your choice is between what is better now, and what will be better going forward. I would choose the 1060 because by the time everything you want to play would favor the 480, you may likely be wanting to buy a new GPU. That doesn't mean the 480 is bad, it just means if it was my money, I would go 1060.

Realized I read that wrong but I already purchased the 480. I think I will stick with it though because the 1060 is not in stock ever xD
