I go with MSI because they have the quietest fans, at least for NA.

EU gets Palit which is equally if not a tiny bit quieter.

MSI has good customer service and build quality too.

Basically what is the coolest and the quietest and isn't from a douchebag of a company is what makes my choice.

EVGA is fine.

EVGA one should be good. For more oc (which you probably dont reall need the extra fans) go with the acx. 3.0. PNY also has a pretty nice one for $250

Sadly the acx 3.0 1060 is still unavailable for some odd reason. I'm just a bit skeptical about single fan cards since I've had some horrendous experiences with a single fan palit in the past which made my ears bleed. If waiting is not an option, what would you go for?

MSIs customer service is nothing compared to EVGAs.....

Nobody's is. But you don't make purchases based 100% on the customer service.

Also MSI is still far above Gigabyte and Asus for customer service even though EVGA is far above MSI.

EVGA is like god tier customer service, MSI is good/expected, and Gigabyte and Asus are trash tier.

I'd beg to differ, NZXT has insane customer service.

That's weird, why?

MSI NA seems to have their shit together so I wouldn't let what a division on the other side of the planet is doing change my mind.

I've heard nothing about this, I'd expect to have seen it in the news of OCN or on reddit PCMR, or here, or anywhere like that if it was as big of a deal as it sounds.

"Every single MSI 1070 in China is broken" seems pretty fuckin newsworthy for me to have not heard a thing about it.

Well that would be the fault of whoever manufactured the VRAM... whether it be Samsung, Micron, Hynix, etc...

All we can judge MSI on is how they handle the situation.

Also, I don't think random internet forum posters are reliable news sources.

...but since when does using ''bad ram'' (which BTW, there has NEVER been any such thing as ''bad ram'') could cause a 100% RMA on a product?!

that just sounds fishy as hell...i don't know what is the credible source for this report or anything...but i just don't even see it as being possible by any stretch of the imagination.

It's been over a week since that's been posted and still not much of a follow up.

There's no way it's true, simply because 100% failure rate would be fucking devastating for MSI and this would be all over the place.

Instead there's 1 reddit post and half of the top comments are people confused about the translation.

...

Show me forum posts or reviews from thousands of angry Chinese customers, because that's what there would be if this were true.

what i can tell you is that my friend Paul at the office has the msi GTX 1070 gaming X and the memory overclock to 9080mhz and the core to 2050mhz and he's being benchmarking and gaming with the card for over a month and it has show absolutely no sign of any issue what so ever...and it's a very good performer and he told me it's the coolest and quietest running GPU he has ever owned...and for me this is more than enough to keep recommending MSI graphics cards since they are top notch...and are top notch since at least the GTX 4XX series. I don't see how this ''news'' could have any truth to it...at all...it's easy to create a thread on reddit saying ''MSI admit the card in china are trash'' but where is this official statement on MSI website or something?

''here's a ''rought'' translation''...that's all you got...and the text is probably not saying that...AT all.

That just doesn't seem legit...like AT ALL.

I have the acx 1.0 gtx 750 ti and I have no coil whine. Im pretty sure the EVGA one with a single fan is acx 2.0, so that should be quieter. Here is an image for reference
