Is this gaming rig going to fit the bill....

Hey guys, I've been saving for a while and I plan on upgrading from my 200 dollar laptop. (which cant even play minecraft above 30 fps).

Worth noting that I have NEVER owned an actual desktop unit, let alone experienced a real gaming rig. I'm also coming over from an Xbox 360 @ 720p. So with that said, I want my first rig to be a good one.

Here's what I want to be able to do....

1. Rendering and stress analysis on an AutoDesk platform

2. Running Minecraft Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders on ultra without motion blur set to ultra.

3. Play battlefield (4)  and Call of Duty (AW) on high or ultra settings

4. programming in Java

5. have a really snappy system that I don't ever have to wait on

(all of the above would be a dream compared to what I have now.... (this is what i have PC wise https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-ES1-111M-C40S-11-6-Inch-Diamond/dp/B00MNOPS1C/ref=sr_1_12?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1471057775&sr=1-12&keywords=acer+laptop))

those are my main goals, I don't plan on doing any crazy intensive $h!t like VR and 4k gaming, at most I'll be gaming with a 2k monitor @ 60Hz possibly 144Hz.

My FPS goal is to stay ABOVE 40 fps. 60 or higher would be optimal.

But anyways, here's what I'm planning on, http://pcpartpicker.com/user/6thGen/saved/#view=9ssH99, Is there anything you would change? please let me know.  side note, I'm in the U.S

I can kick the budget up to 1500 dollars if I REALLY need to, but I'd perfer to save the extra money for a bettter monitor, or peripherals.

Thanks for any replies !

consider a 212 evo cooler to my understanding they are the kings for budget air coolers (assuming they fit)

16gb ram if you can manage it will be nice too.

Thanks, like I said, I don't plan on doing VR or 4k gaming, I'll probably stick to 1080p or 2k.

Optifine fixes the rendering model quite a bit and makes it much more playable :D

definitely would get a different case, corsair isnt known for having good cable mgmt on their cheaper cases. the phanteks p400 is $60 right now and it is amazing... also the h7 is pretty good, its as good as the 212 and its actually quieter.

otherwise i would go for 16gb of ram, 2x8gb, since you are going to be doing some heavy duty stuff. i have 8gb and i find myself running out fast! (5.5gb right now with just chrome, steam, and skype open... im a tab whore!!)
