Will an 860K bottleneck a RX 470?

So I have an 860K in my current machine and was wondering if it will bottleneck a RX 470.

If so, by how much?

 

 

PS: I will upgrade to zen about my next year, but I want to upgrade my GPU from a 950 now.

Yes, but if you're getting a new platform anyway, it's fine to get it.

Yes it will bottleneck but as ivan said since you are getting a new cpu next year then I'd still get it.

I would rather stay on 950 until Zen comes out and then get everything.

Because you can save up more for 480 or 1060.

no. I'm gonna upgrade the GPU now since I have money for it now.

besides, BF4 which i play the most favors AMD. so no nVidia anymore bud

Well ok, your choice. But 950 is not worth upgrading to 470 imo.

it really is. besides my 950 is can't even turbo... so yea. getting rid of that is very worth it in my opinion.

Depends on the game but most games will be fine, unless it was bad before then it will not get better...

what?

are ye talking about CPU intensive games? I know those won't benefit much from this upgrade. but graphicall intensive games will.

Thing is that if it necks in your games of choice, you're getting a boost in performance now and a boost in performance on your cpu upgrade.

 

Especially to new folks i like to recommend gpu first, because if for your potato gpu your potato cpu isnt an issue, upgrading cpu first will feel dull and uninspiring.

and be pointless. Overclocking the Athlon and slap some 2133-2400MHz DDR3 RAM into the mix will give you pretty good performance, even though you're merely catching up to a Sandy i5 2500k (stock) in terms of performance.
