Free Shipping on Online Orders?

I read somewhere (lifehacker) that you can get free shipping on online purchases from NCIX, Newegg, other tech websites if you get it shipped to a warehouse and pick it up within 24hrs

 

How much of this is actually true cause I haven't seen this option on the Canadian sites.

At NCIX, you can get free shipping on anything if you get it shipped to one of their locations (Some of their warehouses have pickup location mini-stores). You still have to come get it from them though, so it's no different from simply driving to the store anyway and buying the parts there - the main benefit is that everything is waiting for you, and if they have to cross ship from another location, it'll be in stock when you arrive.

 

Amazon.ca will give you free shipping on orders over $25 USD or $35 CAD (most items qualify, but some do not, so make sure you check).

 

NCIX occasionally has a Free Shipping promo every once in a while.

 

I cannot say for the others.
