Removing iCloud photos folder from PC

Hello, so within iCloud I told photos to save new photos and uploads into a copy of the "iCloud Photos" folder that I made on my secondary HDD, now that it is done, I would like to remove the original iCloud Photos folder from my C: Drive without having to remove iCloud from my PC, is there a way to do that? 

 

I heard there is a script or something that you can run to "take ownership" of a file, would that work?

You can manually just delete the folder as it's not used anymore as the default save location since it's not in the secondary HDD.

I tried that and I dont have the ability to do so

If it's an ownership issue that would be something with windows, you can go into the security tab of that folder and under advanced to edit the ownership so you can get rid of it.

I gave every user/option full control, it still says I'll need to give permission and wont let me remove it.

Did you make sure to check "replace owner on subcontainers and objects" it should let you take over it no problem.

I said forget it and im jsut gonna fully remove iCloud and install it again. I backed up all my photos.

Use FileASSASIN next time, it can delete almost any folder, even if you don't have permission to delete it.

You coul also boot into safe mode and do it from there.
