What raid card would be the best for my future Dell R900?
I may be able to get one with a Dell Perc 6i raid card; don't know much about it but it's supposed to be really good.

Otherwise, what good raid card would I be able to get under $100 or so? I am looking to run Raid 6 on my server in case that's important information.

(will be running Windows Server)

1. DONT GET A R900. They will use over 500w idle and cost over 500 a year in power. but a r710 instead

2. a perc 6i is your best option. The r900 is a bad storage server as its very limited in drive bays. The only thing is the perc 6i is limited to 2tb hdds.

Just get a r710, much faster, cheaper, and newer.
