My current PSU is an EVGA SuperNOVA 850 B2.

I'm currently looking at getting some sleeved cable extensions for my current power supply(2 8-pin PCI-E, 1 24-pin motherboard extension and 1 EPS extension). They are currently priced at 50 USD for all of them from amazon.

I then proceeded to check at sleeved cable kits which cost an average of 80 USD and was wondering if it would make any sense to sell my PSU and buy a new one to get full modularity, a higher effeciency and the sleeved cable kits.

If yes, what power supply would you recommend?

My suggestions above only applies if you ever feel the need for that full modular experience.

If I were you, depending on your system, I would keep the PSU and upgrade other parts first.

With my current budget, I cannot afford to upgrade parts anytime soon, so I'm upgrading what i can. I am planning to sell my PSU for around 70-80 USD and put in the difference for a fully modular PSU.

If you can sell your PSU for that price then the one I suggested is basically free.

Personally I sleeved my power supply cables manually. Very time consuming, tedious, a lot of patience IS REQUIRED and rubs the flesh from your fingers and leaves them sensitive & hurting for days. Once the deed is done though you never have to do it again unless you wanna change the color of your build. My PSU is fully modular though. I've heard of people sleeving PSU's that aren't modular or only partially modular but this involved widening the hole the cables come out of, which is why I see the appeal of cable extensions. Ether go full modular and sleeve them yourself or stick with what you've got & just get cable extensions is my advice.

Your PSU is really, really good so just get extensions.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
