Looking for Quad SLI support Z97 1150 Mobo!

This one is fairly cheap and it must have PLX chip cause there is no 1150 chip that I know of that can support quad sli without plx chip.

Well there is a diffrence in the definition between quad sli or 4 way sli.

The GTX Titan Z and GTX690 cards are dual gpu on one pcb cards.

Those cards feuture their own plx chip onboard.

 

Same as the AMD Radeon R9-295X2 or the Powercolor R9-390 Dual Devil 13 card.

And the 7990 back in the days.

I am aware yes. I'm planning to put 4x 1080Tis when they're out so dual cards are out of the question.

That's literally going to be bottlenecked by everything. No possible way you can- Wtf show me how you're going to do 4 way SLI with HB bridges.

Well thats realy going to be though.

Aside from the fact the Nvidia on the new GTX10 series cards doesnt officialy support sli on more then 2 cards.

But asside from that, there will be a massive cpu bottleneck regardless.

Even a 6950X overclocked to massive numbers.

No problem.

 

Its worth a try, but like i said i would realy advice against anything more then 2 way sli.

The experiance will be terrible, i think that Jay did a video on it once with triple and quad 980Ti´s on a 5960X or something not sure.

But it realy didnt work well.

Unless you have some other specific plans with a quad gpu setup ofc like number crunching stuff.

But i'm not sure if the new gamer oriented pascal cards are realy good for that typ of workflow.

Since those are gimped allot on dual precission and what not.

You have your ways to essentially reprogram software to allow for 4 10 series cards to work in SLI. Ok. Also, you'd need a fun bridge to connect them all in HB mode

Yea I have my plans. It will work for what I am doing. I'm giving Gigabyte one more chance to redeem themselbes as this time they paid for RMA transport and proper fixing. We will see if they will do what they promised.

 

If not, I'll have to use dual Xeon mobo that I bought recently.
