Lumia 950 uses Snapdragon 808 (same as Nexus 5X), Lumia 950 XL uses the Snapdragon 810 (same as Nexus 6P and HTC One M9), HP Elite X3 uses Snapdragon 820 (same as HTC 10, Galaxy S7/Edge).

So i have a Nexus 5x and the Quadrooter app says I'm vulnerable as well as suggesting I get their "ZoneAlarm Protection". Does that actually protect against this? And if so, I already have Avast. Does that protect me from this too?

Because android phones are the only phones that use those cpus. The zenphone uses android, but is not affected.

Well, as a Nexus device user I'm lucky, I get Android updates almost immediately. There were 4 vulnerabilities affecting my device: three have been already patched and the fourth fix is coming in a few weeks.

However, some other smaller makers give updates incredibly slowly, others just never give them. Unfortunate, really.

*better app support. And yeah there are more apps available, but I'm done with both Apple and Android. You can't even activate an iPhone without a sim card. And my iPhone that I sold apparently was still locked to my iCloud even though I completely reset the thing. What a stupid piece of crap. My Nexus 5 was a glitchy piece of crap ("can't connect to camera" or "Google Apps has stopped working"). 

 

Windows Phone on my Lumia 650 is good enough for me for the time being, I can now actually open the fucking camera app after using the flash as a flashlight, I have updates even faster than my iPhone 4S  and Nexus 5. And nothing has crashed (yet).
