You have to connect all of the Pci-e power cables, otherwise your pc will not boot.

The watts vs power connectors are not directly comparable. Likely, your 1070 has a much higher wattage ceiling for OC'ing than your 960 as well.

Oh ok, and would you recommend overclocking it? If so, can you link me a good tutorial for it.

YouTube will be a good source of info but you must remember that even though you may have the same card as someone it doesn't mean u will get the same overclock. I have just got a 1070 sea hawk edition.

I would recommend doing what you're comfortable with. The 1070 is a beast as-is and overclocking out of the box may be pointless. This is especially true if you're gaming at 1080p.

Would tend to agree with this point the only reason I overclock is too see what extra I can get out of the card for free. The 1070 is actually better at 1440p than 1080p
